Development of referees will take a major step forward this season under
the UEFA Convention and with new IFA Referees Committee which made up of six former referees.
Former FIFA referee John Ferry will head the development what hope will be future senior referees
in Northern Ireland along Alan Snoddy.
Fermanagh and Western Referees Association have had development group since 1997-2008
under the leadership of Basil Marshall and this as proved very successful with Gerard Flynn in charge for 2008/09 season.
2009/2010 season will see Basil Marshall return to the helm replacing
Flynn after his one year stint which proved very successful.
There will be two groups the National members which will be under guidance of John Ferry
and Alan Snoddy and four regional leads Basil Marshall, Adrian McCourt, Eamon Shanks and Frankie Hiles and the
association mentors are Gerry Flynn, Clive Mitchell and Roy Beacom.
Members selected for National group on performances and commitment are Tim Marshall
and Stewart Blair at Intermediate Level with Wesley Campbell, Danny Colton and Tony Sharkey at Junior
Level.
